Gold Hill Trail #64 is an expert-level hike in the Questa Ranger District of Carson National Forest in northern New Mexico, about 1.7 miles from the small community of Twining. The trail is an out-and-back route that climbs from a low point of 10,865 feet to a high of 12,694 feet, with a total elevation gain of 1,857 feet over a round-trip distance of about 10 miles. The trail is a serious climb, and the route is long enough that planning is key. The Wheeler Peak Trail #90 starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Lost Lake Trail #91 is about 1.2 miles off. For an overnight base, Twining campground sits 1.5 miles away, and Goose Lake Fishing is about 2 miles away.
