Fence Line is a 3.1-mile out-and-back hike in the Sandia Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in New Mexico, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is rated moderate, with a total elevation gain of about 60 feet from a low point of 5,608 feet to a high of 5,676 feet. The route is natural-surface and not accessible. Bikes and horses are both allowed, so it works for riders and pack animals. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Placitas show May highs around 79°F and October highs around 71°F, while July and August average highs near 91°F with more wet days. Several other hikes sit close by, including Mustang Alley about 0.2 miles away and Chalk Dust and Down & Out each about 0.3 miles off. Climbers can find Tunnel Springs about 3.1 miles away.
