Another Juan (Bites the Dust) is a short, easy hike in the Sandia Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in New Mexico, managed by the Forest Service. The route is an out-and-back of about 0.9 miles, with a one-way climb of about 46 feet from a low point of 7,421 feet to a high of 7,479 feet. It's a quick outing, and the trail is close to several other routes. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from the Sandia Park weather station, about 12.6 miles away, show May highs around 73°F and September highs around 77°F, with lows in the 40s. That station sits roughly 450 feet lower than the hike's high point, so temperatures on the trail run a little cooler. Bear Scat and Mahogany Trail both start about 0.2 miles away, and Rollercoaster is about 0.9 miles off. Climbers can find Big Block about 2.4 miles away.
