Father Knows Best is a short mountain biking route in southern New Hampshire, set within the Forest Ridge OSA. It's a tiny outing: the mapped route is about 0.8 miles long, with a low point of 182 feet and a high of 214 feet, so the climb is only about 33 feet total. The path is flat and easy to ride, with the steepest part coming at about 0.16 miles in, where the grade reaches 3 percent. The most comfortable riding weather falls in late spring through early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Epping, NH weather station show highs around 68°F in May and 73°F in September, with July warming to about 82°F. Winters are cold, with January highs near 33°F. Several other trails sit close by. Bog is about 0.1 mile away and Woodbridge about 0.2 mile. The Big Ben trail is roughly 0.3 mile off, and the Wilson Boulder climbing area is about 0.7 mile away.
