The Glass House is a climbing area in the Mt. Charleston Wilderness, part of the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area within the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Nevada. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area sits within designated wilderness. The Glass House is a sport climbing destination. Seven routes lie here, all sport routes, with grades ranging from 5.11b to 5.13a. The easiest is Cracked Glass at 5.11b, and the hardest is Diamond Eyes at 5.13a. John Heiman is the first ascender of several of the routes, including Glass Monkey and Jet Stream. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 79°F with lows near 52°F. That station sits roughly 1,000 feet lower, so temperatures at the Glass House run cooler. The Den of Thieves Area, Burglar Wall and Robber's Roost all lie about 0.4 miles away, and the Robber's Roost Trail is close by for mountain biking.
