Basque Boulders is a bouldering area in the Carson Ranger District of Nevada's Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing and mountain biking spots, with Jewel Boulder and the Upper Evans Trail just 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, and the five routes listed are all rated V0 on the V scale. They are 102, 103, 201 and 202, along with another unnamed V0. The boulders are easy to pick up on a short outing, and the surrounding trails make it easy to pair a climb with a ride. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Reno show May highs around 72°F and October highs around 68°F, while July and August average in the low 90s. Keystone Boulder is 0.7 mile away, and Alum Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 4 miles off.
