Wing Boulder is a bouldering area on Bureau of Land Management land in Nevada, within the Sierra Front Field Office. It sits among a cluster of climbing areas, with Celebrity Wall, East Wall and West Face all about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, with five routes ranging from V0 to V1. The easiest are Athene Noctua, Down Feathers and Silent Wings, and Wing Warm Up is another V0. Owl Just Wing It is the hardest at V1. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Virginia City weather station show July highs around 84°F with lows near 62°F, while winter brings highs in the low 40s and a few snowy days each month from December through February. That station sits about 960 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures on the rock run cooler. Paddlers can head to Steamboat Creek, about 4.3 miles away, and hikers have Six Mile Canyon Road and Sheep Trail within about 5 miles.
