It sits within the wilderness, so it is a backcountry destination rather than a developed recreation site. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 70°F and October highs around 75°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. Several other bouldering areas lie just 0.1 mile away, including South Seas Bouldering, Voyage Boulder and Pirate Boulder. Gene's Trail is about 0.7 mile off for a hike.
