Cube Area is a bouldering area in Nevada on Bureau of Land Management land within the Red Rock/Sloan Field Office. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with The Cube and Lava Boulder both about 0.1 mile away, and Shady Lady Boulder at a similar distance. The Cube is the closest of these, and the area is best approached as a group of boulders rather than a single route. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 70°F and October highs around 75°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. The climbing here is all bouldering, with three routes graded from V3 to V7. Van Betten Arête is the easiest at V3, and Andy's Right is the hardest at V7. The Ash Spring Trail and Calico Loop are both within half a mile for a walk after climbing. Red Rock Canyon Campground, about 2.8 miles away, is the closest place to camp.
