Trail Canyon is a hard hike in Nevada's Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, part of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The route is an out-and-back of about 3.9 miles, with a one-way elevation gain of 1,527 feet, taking you from a low point of about 7,811 feet to a high of about 9,338 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trailhead is named Trail Canyon Trailhead. Bikes are not allowed on this trail, so plan on hiking it on foot. The climb is a steady one, and the route is rated hard. The trail starts close to several other destinations. Mary Jane Falls is about 0.3 miles away, and the Central Slab Area and The Infectious Cave / Slab climbing areas are each about 0.4 miles off. Little Falls (upper) is about a mile away.
