Riverview Trail is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Nevada, about a mile from the community of Pinyon Hills. The trail is roughly 3.2 miles long, with a low point of 4,593 feet and a high of 4,621 feet. It is a flat route, with only about 85 feet of elevation gain and loss over the full trip, and the steepest section comes early on, around 0.06 miles in, with a grade of about 2%. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Carson City show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 81°F, while July and August average about 90°F. The trip takes about an hour. The trail is close to several other routes, including Mexican Ditch Trail, about 0.2 miles away, and Eagle Valley Trail, about 0.4 miles away. Prison Hill, a climbing area, lies about 1.8 miles off, and Washoe Lake State Park Campground is about 6.4 miles away.
