Marlette Flume Trail is a moderate out-and-back hike in Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park, on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe. The trail runs about 8.6 miles round trip, with a total elevation gain of about 141 feet, and the high point sits at 7,842 feet. The trail is managed by State Park and Recreation, and it lies within the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, a national forest unit. The route starts at about 7,797 feet and reaches a low point of 7,718 feet before climbing back up. The steepest stretch comes at about 1.5 miles in, with a grade of about 15 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Incline Village show July and August highs around 76°F with lows near 50°F, while winter highs there hover around 41°F. Tunnel Creek and Franktown Rd are both within a third of a mile, and Sand Harbor offers climbing about 1.8 miles away. Mt. Rose Campground is about 6.5 miles off.
