Chimney Beach Trail is a 4.7-mile out-and-back hike in the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit of Nevada's national forest system, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is rated moderate, with a one-way climb of about 76 feet from a low point of 6,228 feet to a high of 6,300 feet. Its natural surface makes it a straightforward walk rather than a technical route. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Incline Village weather station show July and August highs around 76°F with lows near 50°F, while winter highs sit in the low 40s. Chimney Beach, a mountain biking spot, sits just 0.1 mile away, and the Marlette Trail or Bear Mtn hike is about half a mile off. The Marlette Creek Trail is roughly a mile away, and the East Face climbing area is about 2 miles out.
