Camp Creek is a hard hike in Nevada's Jarbidge Wilderness, part of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest's Mountain City-Ruby Mountains-Jarbidge Ranger District. The route is an out-and-back of about 11.6 miles, with a one-way elevation gain of 1,926 feet, taking you from a low point of 6,746 feet to a high of 8,656 feet. The trail is on natural surface and is open to horses. Bikes are not allowed. The Forest Service manages the land, and the hike falls within the wilderness, so plan for a backcountry outing. The open season runs from June 15 to October 30. That window gives you the most comfortable stretch for a trip, with the high point well above the low point of the route.
