Adt - Nevada - S - Seg 2 is a 7.8-mile out-and-back hike in Nevada's Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, on the Ely Ranger District. The trail rises from a low of 7,069 feet to a high of 7,693 feet, with a total elevation gain of 775 feet over the course of the round trip, and the steepest stretch comes at about 3.3 miles in with a 13% grade. The Forest Service manages the land. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Ruth weather station show June highs around 76°F and September highs around 75°F, with temperatures on this trail running a little cooler than those figures because the station sits roughly 800 feet below the high point. The hike takes about three hours to complete. Ellison Guard Station Road lies just 0.1 mile away, and the Corduroy Mt Trail is about 3.9 miles off. White River Campground, about 6.6 miles away, is the closest place to camp, and Mustang Ranch is about 5.2 miles away.
