The Dregs is a climbing area in the Bozeman Ranger District of Custer Gallatin National Forest in Montana, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing and hiking destinations, with the Libido Formation just 0.3 miles away and the Lava Lake hike at 0.4 miles. The area is a traditional climbing spot with six routes, all rated between 5.10a/b and 5.12d. Mongrel Wave is the easiest at 5.10a/b, and Two-Headed Boy is the hardest at 5.12d. Time Lapse, at 5.11a, is a good middle ground. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Big Sky show July highs around 78°F with lows near 41°F, while winter highs stay in the 20s and 30s. Nearby, the Gallatin River offers fishing about 0.8 miles away, and Garnet Mountain is a hike 1.2 miles off.
