Three Cougars is a mountain biking route in Montana's Lolo National Forest, within the Missoula Ranger District. It is managed by the Forest Service and runs about 2.9 miles, rising 572 feet from a low point of 5,723 feet to a high point of 6,226 feet. The climb is not a steady ascent: the route also drops 880 feet in total, and the steepest stretch, at 13% grade, comes about 1.8 miles in. The trail starts and ends in the West Fork Gold Creek area, and Boulder Lake, another mountain biking spot, lies just 0.7 miles away. West Fork Gold Creek, a hike, is about a mile off. Farther out, the Gold Creek and Lower Gold Ridge (Archive) mountain biking routes are each within about 2 miles.
