Sawmill Curry is a short, rolling mountain biking climb in the Missoula Ranger District of Lolo National Forest in western Montana. It sits about half a mile from the Rattlesnake trailhead network, on land managed by the Forest Service. The route rises from about 4,500 feet to about 4,820 feet, a total gain of 336 feet, and the steepest part comes at roughly 0.36 miles, where the grade reaches 22%. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Missoula show July and August highs around 84 to 85°F with lows in the low 50s and only about seven wet days a month. That station sits roughly 1,400 feet lower, so temperatures on the climb run cooler. Several other trails lie close by. Sawmill Gulch (Rattlesnake) is about 0.2 miles away and Curry Cabin Ridge is a similar distance for hikers. Steep Curry and Fish Ladder are both about 0.4 miles off.
