Weigel Mountain is a hard hike of about 14.7 miles in the Libby Ranger District of the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana. The route is an out-and-back that climbs about 428 feet from a low point of roughly 4,129 feet to a high point of about 5,526 feet. The trail is a natural-surface route, and the Forest Service lists biking as an allowed activity. That makes it an option for both hikers and riders heading up from the valley floor. Nearby, Weigel Creek lies about 2.4 miles away. Fairview Ranger Station campground and the Fisher River Area for river fishing are each about 3.9 miles off. Canyon Divide adds another hike about 5.8 miles away.
