Silver Creek is a hard hike in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, part of the Gardiner Ranger District of Custer Gallatin National Forest in Montana. The trail is about 10 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of roughly 2,400 feet, and it rises from a low point of about 7,300 feet to a high of about 9,900 feet. The route is an out-and-back on natural surface, and it is open to horses. Bikes are not allowed. West Fork Hellroaring lies just 0.1 mile away, and Hyman Creek Trail is about a mile off. Mountain bikers can head to Middle Fork Hellroaring, about 0.9 mile away, or Grizzly Creek Cutoff, about 1.2 miles away.
