Indian Creek is a hard hike on natural surface in the Ninemile Ranger District of Montana's Lolo National Forest, about 11 miles long with a total elevation gain of 2,040 feet. The trail is an out-and-back that starts at roughly 4,058 feet and climbs to about 6,147 feet, so plan on a day of steady work rather than a quick outing. Bikes and horses are both allowed, which makes the route flexible for riders and pack animals. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open year round. Nearby options include the Cedar Peak-Straight Peak and Indian Ridge hikes, each about a mile away.
