Hart Creek is a hard hike in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, part of the Spotted Bear Ranger District of Flathead National Forest in northwest Montana. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is a natural-surface out-and-back that climbs from about 4,880 feet to about 6,730 feet over 9.3 miles. The route is rated hard, and the one-way gain is 1,850 feet. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. The trail is not accessible. It lies deep in designated wilderness, so plan for a full day on foot. Several other destinations sit close by. Pot Mtn. is just 0.2 miles away, and Wall Creek and Bungalow Mtn. are each about a mile off. For an overnight base, Silvertip Cabin is roughly 7.6 miles away.
