Fawn Creek is a hard out-and-back hike in the Hungry Horse Ranger District of Montana's Flathead National Forest, about 13.7 miles long and climbing from a low of about 3,120 feet to a high of about 6,010 feet. The trail is on national forest land managed by the Forest Service. The route carries horses and bikes on its natural surface. It is open year-round, and the climb is one of the most significant on the route, so plan for a full day on foot or horseback. The high point makes this a challenging day. The nearby DORIS RIDGE hike lies about 1.7 miles away, and the Dam Loop and Lion Lake hikes are each within about 3 miles. For an overnight base, Doris Creek Campground is about 3.9 miles off.
