Deep Creek is a hard hike in the Fortine Ranger District of Montana's Kootenai National Forest, about 8.6 miles long with a one-way elevation gain of 3,389 feet. The trail is an out-and-back that climbs from a low point of about 4,500 feet to a high of about 6,800 feet, and it is managed by the Forest Service. The trail is open from June 1 through October 31, and the parking area is labeled Deep Creek TH 311. Bikes and horses are both allowed, and the surface is natural. Williams is about 1.7 miles away, and North Fork Deep Creek is about 2.1 miles away. North Dickey Lake and Grave Creek Campground are both about 7 miles off, and the Stillwater River offers canoeing about 8 miles away.
