Kilbrennan Lake Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Three Rivers Ranger District of Montana's Kootenai National Forest. It sits in the forest's interior, and the nearest town is Troy, about 8 miles away. Vault toilets are the only facility listed for the site. The campground is not reservable, so plan on arriving and finding a spot on site rather than booking in advance. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Troy show July highs around 87°F with lows near 49°F, and September cools to highs around 75°F with fewer wet days than the rest of the year.
