Dalles Campground sits in the Rock Creek drainage, above Rock Creek in a mixed conifer forest in the Missoula Ranger District of Lolo National Forest in western Montana. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area is known for its blue ribbon trout stream and rugged canyon environment. The campground has flush toilets, and a fee is charged for stays. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Stevensville show July highs around 85°F with lows near 49°F, while winter highs stay in the low to mid 30s. Welcome Creek is a hike just 0.4 miles away. Harrys Flat Campground and Grizzly Campground are both within about 3 miles, and Rock Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 4.3 miles off.
