Grass Rides Loop is a short, flat cross-country ski route in Massachusetts, about 0.1 mile from the town of Nancys Corner. The loop is an out-and-back of about 0.24 miles, with a high point of 57 feet and a low of 49 feet. The total climb is about 9 feet, and the route is essentially level, so it works well as a quick addition to a longer outing on the surrounding fields. Winter is the natural season for this route. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Beverly show January highs around 37°F with about four snow days, while March still averages 18°F for lows. Snow days drop to zero from April through October, when the weather warms into the 60s and 70s. The loop sits among a cluster of cross-country ski areas. Lamson Field North, Jack's Field and Lamson Field South are each about 0.1 mile away, and the C.L.A. Mile is about 0.2 mile off. For a change of pace, the North Shore climbing area is about 8 miles away.
