The Bay Circuit Trail is a short cross-country ski route in Massachusetts, about half a mile from the community of Nancys Corner. It's an easy outing, with a round trip of about 0.5 miles and a total climb of about 30 feet, making it a quick addition to a longer day on the surrounding ski trails. Winter is the natural season for this route. Typical averages from the nearby Beverly weather station put January highs around 37°F with lows near 18°F and a few snowy days. By May, snow is gone, and highs climb to about 66°F. Several other cross-country ski routes lie within a short distance. Sheep Field is about 0.1 mile away, and Plains Loop, Grass Rides Loop and the Brian Hill trail are each within a third of a mile. For a change of pace, North Shore offers rock climbing about 8.5 miles away.
