The Bay Circuit Trail is a cross-country ski route in Massachusetts, set within the Appleton Farms Grass Rides on land managed by a non-governmental organization. The trail is short, with a round-trip length of about a mile and a total elevation gain of about 56 feet, so it works well as a quick outing or a warm-up before heading to other routes in the area. Winter is the natural season for skiing here. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Beverly show January highs around 37°F with lows near 18°F and about four snow days, while March still averages around 45°F by day and 25°F at night. Snow days drop to zero from April through October. The Grass Rides Loop lies just 0.1 mile away, and the Pinnacle Trail and C.L.A. Mile are each about 0.4 mile off. Lamson Field South is roughly 0.6 mile away.
