Dan Parker Road is a short out-and-back cross-country ski route in eastern Massachusetts, set just 1.2 miles from the town of East Groton. The trip is easy, with a round-trip length of about 0.3 miles and a total elevation gain and loss of about 13 feet. The route runs between a low point of 252 feet and a high of 277 feet, and the climb is so slight that the whole path stays nearly flat. Winter is the natural season for this ski route. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show January highs around 35°F and lows near 14°F, while March runs a little milder at highs around 45°F. That station sits about 97 feet below the route, so temperatures on the ski road may run slightly cooler. Red Line Trail, another cross-country ski route, lies about a mile away. Marsh Trail offers mountain biking at a similar distance, and Brown Trail is a hiking option roughly 2 miles off. For overnight stays, Spacious Skies Campgrounds - Minute Man is about 6 miles from the road.
