Red Line Trail is a short, easy cross-country ski route in Massachusetts, about 0.1 mile from East Groton. The trail is an out-and-back that covers roughly 2 miles round trip, with a total elevation gain of about 100 feet. It is rated easy, and the climb is gentle, with the steepest stretch at about 3% near the 0.9-mile mark. Winter is the natural season for cross-country skiing here. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show January highs around 35°F and lows near 14°F, while February runs a little milder at about 38°F by day.
