Dark Tower is a short mountain biking climb in northeastern Massachusetts, about 1.6 miles from Manchester-by-the-Sea. The out-and-back route is 0.72 miles long, rising from about 119 feet to 226 feet, a total climb of 182 feet. It is an expert-level ride, with the steepest part of the route at 7% grade about 0.14 miles from the start. The most comfortable months are typically late spring through early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Beverly put July highs around 80°F and September highs around 72°F, with snow days from December through March. Several other mountain biking spots sit close by. Stupid Trail and Stu & Erin's are each about 0.1 miles away, and Tombstone and Bullseye are about 0.3 miles off.
