Duke of Gloucester is a short, beginner-friendly singletrack trail in Maryland, about half a mile from the community of Honeysuckle Ridge. It's a green circle trail, easy to ride and easy to fit into a day of exploring the area's network of mountain biking and hiking routes. The trail is just 0.15 miles out and back, with a total climb of about 71 feet. The route is steady and gentle, with the steepest stretch at about 4% grade near the start. Dogs are allowed as long as they are leashed. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Annapolis show May highs around 77°F and October highs around 68°F, while July averages climb to about 89°F. Several other trails sit within a short distance. The Honeysuckle Through Route, Honeysuckle Through Trail and Honeysuckle Loop 3 are each about 0.1 mile away, and Honeysuckle Loop 2 is a hike about 0.3 mile off.
