Larry Hall Trail is a 0.5-mile cross-country ski route in Maine, about 3 miles from the town of Dallas. It is a short, moderate outing that rises about 112 feet from its starting point at roughly 2,000 feet to a high of about 2,104 feet, with the steepest stretch coming at about a quarter mile in. The trail is an out-and-back, and the whole trip covers about a mile. The climb is gentle, with the steepest grade reaching about 11 percent, and the route is close to several other ski trails, so it works well as part of a longer day on the snow. Winter is the natural season for this trail. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Rangeley show January highs around 22°F with lows near 2°F, while March runs a little milder, with highs around 33°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the higher ground run a little cooler. Moose Alley and Fis-2 are both within a quarter mile, and Jeff's Trail is about half a mile away. For a change of pace, the Fly Rod Crosby Trail is about a mile off and offers hiking.
