Katahdin View is a cross-country ski route in Maine, about 6 miles from the town of Norcross. The out-and-back trip covers roughly 2.3 miles, with a total climb of about 397 feet from a low point of 652 feet to a high of 802 feet. The route is rolling, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.8 miles in, with a grade of about 10 percent. Winter is the natural season for this ski route. Typical averages from the nearby Millinocket weather station, which sits about 440 feet lower than the high point, show January highs around 24°F with lows near 5°F, while July and August average highs near 78°F. The station's figures are not adjusted for the higher elevation, so temperatures on the route run cooler. Several other routes lie close by. Twin Pines Loop and Hammond Ridge Trail are both within half a mile, and the Golden Road hike is about 0.2 miles away. For paddling, the Millinocket Stream is about 4 miles off.
