Twin Pines Loop is a cross-country ski route in Maine, about 6.5 miles from the town of Norcross. It is a short out-and-back, roughly a mile long with about 160 feet of total elevation gain and loss, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.35 miles. Winter is the natural season for skiing here. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Millinocket put January highs around 24°F with lows near 5°F, while March runs a little milder, with highs around 36°F. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the loop, so temperatures on the route run slightly cooler.
