Southern Region Crags is a climbing area in the Cumberland Ranger District of Daniel Boone National Forest in Kentucky, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Far Side about 0.2 miles away and Crossroads and Dark Side each roughly 0.4 miles off. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Beattyville show May highs around 75°F and September highs near 79°F, with September seeing the fewest wet days of the year. The Sheltowee Trace high water route hike is about 1.8 miles away, and Pine Mesa Trail is about 3 miles off. Lago Linda Hideaway campground is about 4.4 miles away, and paddlers can reach the Middle Fork Red River about 8 miles from the crags.
