The Arsenal is a climbing area in Kentucky, about 0.8 miles from the town of Rogers. It sits among several other climbing spots, with The Solarium, Slab City and The Great Arch all within about a tenth of a mile. That makes it easy to pair with those neighbors on a single visit. The climbing here is sport and trad, with sport routes making up the bulk of the 10 routes listed. The grades run from 5.8 up to 5.12c, so there is a range for climbers of different abilities. Quicksilver is a trad route at 5.8, and Picador and Reload are sport routes at 5.11b and 5.12c. For timing, fall is the most comfortable season. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Beattyville show October highs around 69°F with lows near 44°F, and September and October have the fewest wet days of the year. Beyond the climbing, Cliff Trail #206 and Koomer Ridge are hikes about 3.5 miles away, and Miguel's Campsite is about 4.1 miles off. Paddlers can reach the Middle Fork Red River, roughly 4.8 miles away.
