Devils Standtable Area is a climbing area in Giant City State Park, within the Mississippi Bluffs Ranger District of Shawnee National Forest in southern Illinois. The land is managed by the State Department of Natural Resources, and the area sits among several other climbing spots, including the D: Sloper Slab, C: Amphitheater Boulders and F: Gill Wall, all about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is traditional, with two routes listed: Chris's Climb at 5.8 and Stand Table Move at 5.9. Both were first ascended in the early 1970s, with Stand Table Move done ropeless by Dave Whitacre. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Anna run from highs around 71°F in April to 73°F in October, while July highs average about 90°F. The Giant City Nature Trail is 0.3 mile away, and the Red Cedar Trail is 0.8 mile away. Paddlers can find Clear Creek about 10 miles off.
