Cedar Bluff is a climbing area in southern Illinois, within the Mississippi Bluffs Ranger District of Shawnee National Forest and inside Ferne Clyffe State Park. The land is managed by the State Department of Natural Resources, and the area sits about 11 miles from Anna. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Anna show October highs around 73°F with lows near 48°F, and April is similar at about 71°F by day and 46°F at night. July is the warmest month, with highs around 90°F. Several climbing areas sit right next to Cedar Bluff, including the D: PG Wall -Coal House Area, the A: Playground Wall -Detention Area and the E: Bouldering area, all about 0.1 mile away. The Cedar Bluff Trail is about 0.3 mile off.
