Bath Rock - East is a climbing area in Idaho's City of Rocks National Reserve, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits among a cluster of climbing areas, with Bath Rock - West and Bath Rock - South about 0.1 mile away, and the Bath Rock Trail and Creekside Towers Trail also within a tenth of a mile. The climbing here is traditional, with eight routes spread across the area. The grades run from 5.4 to 5.7 on the YDS scale, and the routes include Cowdog, Easy Way Up, Cowgirl and Soap on a Rope. The easiest of them, Cowdog and Easy Way Up, are both 5.4. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Rosette, Utah, show May highs around 65°F and September highs around 74°F, with July peaking near 86°F. That station sits about 780 feet lower than the reserve, so temperatures at the rock run cooler.
