Valley is a mountain biking route on Bureau of Land Management land in the Challis Field Office of Idaho, about half a mile from the town of Challis. The ride is an out-and-back of about 1.2 miles, with a total climb of about 345 feet and a high point of roughly 5,888 feet. The route is rated moderate, and the steepest stretch comes early, with a 25% grade at about 0.2 miles from the start. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Challis show July highs around 87°F and lows near 52°F, while winter highs stay in the upper 20s. That station sits about 855 feet lower than the route's high point, so temperatures on the climb run cooler. Several short hikes start within a third of a mile, including Ebb and Flow and Bridge. The Challis-Yankee Fork Ranger District, about 1.2 miles away, offers river fishing, and Big Bayhorse Campground, roughly 9.6 miles off, is the closest place to camp.
