Pioneer Cemetery Loop is a short, easy mountain biking route in Idaho's Sawtooth National Recreation Area, part of the Sawtooth National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the loop sits within the recreation area's ranger district. The route is an out-and-back that covers about 3 miles, with a total elevation gain of 556 feet. The climb is gentle, with the steepest stretch at about 0.7 miles in, where the grade reaches 10 percent. The high point is 7495 feet, and the low point is 7310 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Ketchum show July highs around 80°F with lows near 45°F, and snow is common from November through April. That station sits well below the loop, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Senate Meadows Loop is just 0.1 mile away, and the Cherry Connector and Cemetery Loop are both about 0.3 mile off.
