Waterfall Crest is a 5.5-mile out-and-back hike in Idaho's Caribou-Targhee National Forest, within the Palisades Ranger District. The trail rises from about 8,840 feet to a high point of 9,631 feet, with a total elevation gain of 779 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is rated moderate. The trail is natural-surfaced and open year-round. Bikes and horses are both allowed, so it works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. The Whiskey Springs Trail and Whiskey Springs lie about 2 miles away, and Sheep Creek is about 2.5 miles off. For an overnight stay, Big Elk Campground & Group Area is about 4 miles from the trail.
