Owl Creek is a 4.9-mile out-and-back hike in Idaho's Salmon-Challis National Forest, within the North Fork Ranger District. The trail rises from about 6,900 feet to about 7,600 feet, a climb of 709 feet, and is rated moderate. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is open year-round. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows both horses and bikes, so it works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. That makes it a flexible option for a day on foot or on horseback, with the same route serving as a base for either. Nearby, Dawa Agai Naokwaide is about 3.9 miles away, and Head of West Fork and Sheep Creek are both within about 5 miles. Spring Creek Campground, roughly 8 miles off, offers a place to stay.
