North Fork of Sulphur Creek is an easy hike of about 5 miles in the Cascade Ranger District of Idaho's Boise National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is an out-and-back with a one-way climb of about 555 feet, starting at roughly 6,770 feet and reaching about 7,100 feet at the high point. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Deadwood Lodge show July highs around 82°F with lows near 40°F, and September highs around 73°F. That station sits about 1,150 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the route run cooler. The trail is on natural surface and allows both horses and bikes. Within a few miles are the Sulphur Creek and Lodgepole Creek hikes, and Stolle Meadows Cabin and Warm Lake offer camping about 8 to 9 miles away.
