Lake Creek Point is a short, out-and-back hike in the New Meadows Ranger District of Idaho's Payette National Forest, about half a mile from the trailhead. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is rated hard, which makes it a compact but challenging outing. The route is about 0.5 miles long, with a one-way climb of about 90 feet from a low point of 7,541 feet to a high of 7,630 feet. The trail surface is natural, and bikes are allowed. It is not an accessible trail. Lake Creek and Sheep Mountain are both within a mile, so the hike pairs easily with either. For an overnight stay, Shorts Bar campground is about 6 miles away, and Spring Bar is about 8 miles away.
