Dry Creek is a hard hike in the Montpelier Ranger District of Idaho's Caribou-Targhee National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The out-and-back route is about 6 miles long and rises about 4,700 feet from the trailhead's starting point near 7,940 feet to a high point around 7,950 feet, with the steepest stretch at about a mile into the hike. Bikes and horses are both allowed on the trail, and the surface is natural. The climb is roughly 1,700 feet one way, and the trail reaches about 7,950 feet. Nearby, Graham Hollow and Midnight Mountain are both about 4 miles away, and Peterson Spring is about 4 miles off. For camping, Maple Grove Campground sits about 6 miles away.
