Chicken Springs Ridge is a 5.5-mile out-and-back hike in Idaho's Caribou-Targhee National Forest, within the Palisades Ranger District. The trail rises from about 6,460 feet to a high point of 8,289 feet, and the climb totals 47 feet of elevation gain. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is rated moderate. The trail is a natural-surface path that allows both horses and bikes. It stays open year-round, so it works for a visit in any season. The ridge sits close to two other hikes, Paradise Basin and Chicken Springs, each about 0.3 miles away. Upper Lake Trail and Upper Palisades Creek are both about 2.2 miles off. For an overnight stay, Palisades Creek campground is about 4.4 miles away.
