Bear Creek Pt. is a hard hike in Idaho's Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness, on the Middle Fork Ranger District of the Salmon-Challis National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is a natural-surface out-and-back that climbs from about 3,674 feet to 8,817 feet over roughly 35 miles. The route is rated hard, with a one-way elevation gain of about 5,066 feet. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. Several other hikes sit close by. Warm Springs is about half a mile away, and Brush Creek and Bernard are each about a mile off. Yellowjacket Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 9.5 miles away.
